Here's a more "internet friendly" version of the article in the October issue of Northshore Magazine.
...and a better quality picture.
"Go beyond the burbon craze for a decidedly different dram. Here's what the @noshwhiskyclub recommends"

Summer 2015 Re-cap:
With apologies for not writing more often.
So much has happened over the summer. For those that care here are some highlights:
May 25, 2015
Gordon's Wine, Waltham, MA
anCnoc tasting where Darren & I sampled a good bit of their standard range but also including some of their more smoky offerings (flaughter & cutter). Pretty fine stuff but no age statements to speak of.
June 11, 2015
Whisky Guild Cruise on the Spirit of Boston
Darren, his brother Tom & Indy all attended. Standard whisky on a boat event and by that I mean fan-frickin-tastic - complete with a healthy dose of righteous drams, great food and networking with industry people and casual fans alike.
June 15, 2015
Kappy's, Peabody, MA
Annual whisky tasting event where Darren & brother Tom enjoyed all that was to offer. Special thanks to Kelly McCarthy at Anchor Distilling Company!
June 20, 2015
Kappy's, Medford, MA
Bi-annual event at this location, this one being the "Father's Day" one. Darren and I both attended. Great selections and a special thanks to Gino Matorana who always takes good care of us!
June 24, 2015
Julio's, Westborough, MA
Darren attended and met Heikichi Urabe of White Oak Akashi Japanese Whisky.
June 26, 2015
Jake Day - Plymouth, MA
A long story, just check out this or that.
July 24, 2015
Darren meets Johanne McInnis (no relation, we think) & her husband for some pretty serious tastings from her private collection. Was I jealous? Hell no! Am I lying? You're friggin' damn right I'm lying...
August 12, 2015
Darren and I are invited to The Barrel House up in Beverly, MA prior to which we were approached by The Northshore Magazine to answer some questions for an article they're working on. Wait, what? This trip to the Barrel House was for a few pictures in case they decided to include us. Amazing experience and a pleasure meeting the folks there - saying nothing about the out of this world food (i.e. bacon & eggs) they put in front of us.
August 19, 2015
Glenway Pub, Belmont, NC
So, I noticed an American single malt behind the bar and thought I'd give it a go. Defiant is the name and they are doing some pretty innovative things with regard to wood integration and maturation. It was completely different from anything I've ever had. If you have the opportunity give it a shot - it's an education for sure.

So on Twitter and with The Balvenie's help we asked Anthony Bourdain to pick 3 living people (he's never met) he'd most like to share a dram with. His answers: Keith Richards, Bootsy Collins & Martin Scorsese. Yeah maybe it's not your list but we were just excited he answered our question...
September 8, 2015
Gordon's Wine, Waltham, MA
Darren attended the Glenmorangie Dinner with Nick Taylor and David Glenmorangie. What else can you say except excellent food, excellent whisky and excellent company.
September 9, 2015
Long's Jewelers, Burlington, MA
Northshore Magazine's October issue launch party. Darren and I were invited (you know because we're in the magazine, try to pay attention) and enjoyed champagne and peach ballinis not sure if I'm spelling that right and spell check is throwing their hands up about it. Some appetizers and good conversation with some of the other "Movers & Shakers". Our article is on page 30 on the digital issue.
All in all a wonderful and fun filled summer. Suffice to say we use our Twitter handle much more often but we will try to blog a little more consistently and keep them brief and informative as we go. The adventure continues...
